Bought this latest Philip Digital model (HD-9238, white) at $399 as a Mother's day present but mum finds it small (0.8 kg capacity, more suitable for family of 4).
Used it twice only, to demo frying french fries and a small chicken to mum. This new model has fuss-free digital temperature and timer via touch-screen control, completes with detachable non-stick honeycomb mesh bottom and splatter-proof lid (which is absent in all old Philip models) that makes washing really easy and minimum cleaning up as there is no thick smoke and no splattering onto heater coil, unlike the old models.
